This course aims to provide students with knowledge and instruction about recent developments of research in microeconomics. The first ten weeks will be taught by Prof. Zhang Lan, and I teach the latter nine weeks.
The current plan, which is subject to change, is to give lectures on several topics in game theory related to my research interests, which also are supplemented by discussion in the class and students’ presentations.
The very preliminary version of the syllabus is available here.
My expectation for students is that they attend every class (unless there is a valid excuse for absence) and get a feel about how theory can contribute to understanding various social phenomena.
